New H&M sweater!

31 Jan

Only 4GBP on eBay (+p/p of course). Once I find my tripod and declutter my flat I can take a proper “as seen on me” photo. I love the pronounced ruffles on the shoulders =)

Have y’all had any new and amazing purchases this week so far?

Peace!

WLU week 1

30 Jan

-2.6/2.6

I’ve decided to update y’all each time I have my weigh-in at Weight Watchers.  I finished my first week and I was down 2.6 lbs.  A good start.  This week I can finally go back to working out.  I am glad.  Knowing how beautiful the weather was and not walking around Town Lake was painful. My end of the year goal is a size 18.  I don’t go by weight, but by clothing size.  It’s most practical at this point.

Too quote a hick that I can’t stand: “Get ‘er done!”

sigh.

Peace,
xoxo

My latest Amazon purchase:

I loved Sailor Moon in high school and recently bought the new #1 on a whim. Naturally, I fell back into my old/new fandom =) And the Mark Gatiss books….well, it’s Mark Gatiss.

Quick & Random:

28 Jan

I checked the mail before work this morning: Gallifrey One postcard was waiting!!! Extremely excited!! 19 days until I leave for the convention and I feel like I’m not ready…sigh. Get through the next three weeks of classes and then L.A. HERE I COME!

Dallas SciFi Expo is going to make me go broke!

23 Jan

I’m on cloud nine right now!! Next month, the weekend before Gallifrey  One, is the Dallas SciFi Expo.  My fellow geek chick friend Laura and I are heading up to the expo.  Why, because there is a mini Friefly/Serenity reunion: Ron Glass, Sean Maher, Jewel Staite, and Adam Baldwin.  *squee*

Now you may ask yourself, didn’t she just meet Adam in November? Why yes, yes I did.  But this is a whole nother experience.  And you wanna know why? (don’t click the back button, just say “why?”), because the SciFi Expo is doing a group photo op on Saturday!! I am uber excited and don’t even know how I am able to contain all this geekery flowing through my veins right now.  I already have my Firefly book ready to be signed (which will also be signed by Jane Espenson at Gally), and I’ll be wearing my “Cancel Glee and Renew Firefly” shirt for the photo. (my apologies to all the “gleeks” out there, but come on….”)

The downside to this all is this: the photo-op is $105, and each autograph is $30.  I’ve already got Ron Glass’ autograph that I won at a Can’t Stop the Serenity event (on a map of Miranda), but I would like to keep a complete Firfely book as well, understand? So, I know you’re thinking, if it means this much to you, then just do it.  Wellllllll, I still have Gallifrey One the following weekend.  The photos for those I’ve already purchased (Paul McGann, Camille Codouri, William Russell, Tony Curran, and Nicholas Briggs), and god only knows how much the autographs will cost.  Plus I still have to eat, drink and possibly souvenir it up.  And tips for everyone under the sun.  Bright side, I already have all my costume parts purchased sans a pair of black shoes…..sigh.  February is going to bankrupt me.  So worth it.

Ok, screw it, I’m going to buy the damn photo-op.

How was everyone’s weekend? Doing anything crazy insane and off the wall? Relax? Did everyone’s teams make it into the Superbowl? (besides ine lol).

I’m off to my first class of the day.

Peace and love,

xxx

That was me after the Packers lost to the Giants, and the emotional roller coaster that was BBC’s Sherlock series 2 finale. And then today on Tumblr I watched the Sherlock/Doomsday mashup video like an idiot. My god, all the feels from the last 24hrs,

I’m a proud cheesehead….

…that being said, i know i’m going to throw up before this game is over.

GO PACK GO!!!

My grey and silver Avenue ballet flats

7 Jan
...downgraded
I have had to downgrade these flats to running to the market or too lazy to dress up *cries*

The good thing is, the reason I had to downgrade them was because I wore them EVERYWHERE!  I still love them (um hello, they are shoes!), but they are wore out.  I feel every little rock when I wear them, so they have been relegated to the “crap, I have to leave the house?” pile.  Today is their last short excursion.  You see them here at work, along with my Starbucks and my beautiful Betsey Johnson bag (thx moeder!).  All good things must come to an end, but I’ll be damned if my shoes don’t go down fighting! 🙂

Hope everyone had a great New Years! I’ll update y’all on my “resolutions” eventually….did you make any?

peace and love,
